Clean glass is a safety issue, especially during rain. Learn how to remove film, improve wiping, and decide whether rain repellent is useful.

Glass is often ignored until visibility becomes poor. In rain, oily film, wiper streaks, mineral spots, and dirty interiors can make driving more tiring and less safe.

Exterior Glass

Exterior glass collects dust, road film, bug residue, and water spots. A normal wash may not remove all of it. Dedicated glass cleaning or polishing may be needed.

Interior Glass

Interior windshield haze comes from plastics, AC use, fingerprints, and cabin residue. It becomes especially visible at night with headlights.

Wipers

Clean glass cannot fix damaged wipers. If blades chatter, streak, or skip, inspect and replace them.

Rain Repellent

Rain repellent can help water move faster from the windshield, especially at speed. It works best on clean glass and with healthy wipers.

What To Avoid

Avoid oily dashboard dressings near glass. They can create haze. Also avoid dirty towels that leave lint.

ReLuxe Recommendation

Before monsoon, clean exterior and interior glass, inspect wipers, remove mineral spots where possible, and consider rain repellent for highway driving.
